Shedd Aquarium Hands-on Experience Days

The Shedd Aquarium staff will be on-site at Yorktown to offer FREE hands-on museum experiences. Bring your kids and enjoy the fun!

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Registration is now open for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!  Register for the first ever Yorktown Center race on Sunday, September 26, 2010.

Yorktown Farmer's Market

We will be continuing our early evening Farmer's Market outside at The Shops on Butterfield this coming summer.  Join us on Wednesdays, 3pm-6pm, starting June 9 and continuing until October 6.  A wide variety of vendors will be on hand featuring fresh fruit and vegetables, breads, muffins, scones, olive oil, farm fresh cheese and milk, chocolates, fresh cut flowers and herbs, pasture raised antibiotic free pork and more. 
Attendees can also partake in weekly activities hosted by organizations such as the DuPage Children's Museum and more!  Each week a Yorktown restaurant will sponsor the event and offer food and beverage samples.

Pace Roundtripper

The Pace Roundtripper has returned to Yorktown Center for the 2010 Cubs season.  The Pace Roundtripper travels non-stop from Lombard to Wrigley Field.  The service starts April 12th to most Cubs home games and to all night, weekend and holiday games in June, July and August.  *Sorry, no service to daytime weekday games in April, May, September or October.  Fare is $4.00 each way per person.  Exact fare is required.  For more information, contact Pace at 847-364-7223. 

DuPage Women's Health Fair

Join us Tuesday, September 14 for the fourth annual DuPage Women's Fair hosted by Representatives Sandra Pihos and Patti Bellock.  This event will take place from 10am-3pm on the lower level in Center Court.  Enjoy free health assessments as well as drawings, promotions and informative speakers throughout the day!

On-a-Roll Stroller Fitness Class

Get in shape and meet other moms at the On-a-Roll Stroller Fitness Class.

Class meets at the benches outside Forever 21 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00am-10:00am.  All are welcome to join!  Sign up at www.bigbellyfitness.net.

Bottles and Brushes at D.O.C. Wine Bar

Join us Thursday, September 9 for a Wine and Painting Party.

Let your inner van Gogh, go!  Participants will begin the evening with appetizers and wine tastings at 6:00pm, followed by the creation of original artwork from 6:30pm-9:00pm.  A local artist will provide step-by-step instructions, paint supplies, aprons and 16x20 canvas.  All artwork will go home with guests.  The cost for this event is $40.  Pre-registration is required.  Tickets may be purchased online at bottles-brushes.com or via telephone at 773-750-0491.

D.O.C. American Bistro & Wine Bar is pleased to announce that on Thursdays, from 7:00pm-9:00pm, a weekly wine and jazz event will take place with rotating jazz bands performing a variety of music through guitars, sax, keyboards and horns.  Guests are invited to dine or simply sip wines. 

D.O.C. American Bistro & Wine Bar is open Thursdays from 11:30am-1:00am.  The complete wine list (in-house and retail) is available upon request.
