PLANNED REDEVELOPMENTS

As part of the exciting next phase of Yorktown Center, the addition of over 700 residential units will continue to enhance the local community and the surrounding area. The new residences will create dynamic walkable destinations to Yorktown Center, offering a broad range of shops, dining, entertainment, and fitness studios. These residences will drive the beginning of the long-term plans for the property to reposition the center and ensure it meets the needs of the community for generations to come.

With an array of dining options and shops surrounding the park, visitors will enjoy a delightful combination of shopping and outdoor experiences. Whether one craves a relaxing stroll, family fun, or simply a breath of fresh air, the community open park at Yorktown Center promises to have something for everyone to enjoy.

SYNERGY AND YORKTOWN CENTER PARTNERSHIP

Beginning in Summer 2024, a two-phase redevelopment of the 12+ acre vacant department store is scheduled to begin construction. The redevelopment includes Yorktown Reserve luxury multi-family buildings, a 1+ acre park area to be used as a communal outdoor environment, and newly energized dining and shopping destinations.

Phase one of the project with an anticipated completion date of Spring 2026 includes the demolition of the former Carson’s building, construction of a multi-family residential building, the creation of a large park area that will be a communal outdoor space, as well as peripheral building modifications to the shopping center that will create a seamless connection to the residential units.

DR HORTON RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
Adjacent to this redevelopment, plans are underway for an additional 90-unit residential community called Summit at Yorktown that will also include a communal green space and will be in the previous Yorktown Convenience Center. This project will take approximately three years to complete and will include phases of construction of the residential units. Demolition of the convenience center is currently ongoing.
This project marks the next evolution in our strategic masterplan and vision for Yorktown Center. Adding a vibrant mix of uses where people will want to live, shop, dine and be entertained ensures the viability of the shopping center and will enhance the local community for generations to come.
