How it works: Shop. Show. Win!

After shopping and dining, your school’s family and friends can show their Yorktown Center receipts at the Guest Services desk (located on the Lower Level, below The Eatery and near Von Maur) to accumulate points. Shoppers must specify which participating school to allocate the points to.

For every dollar spent at Yorktown Center, your school will receive one point! For fun bonus point opportunities, see this month’s calendar below:

 

October 5 – 8: Shop at LOFT and Land’s End for double points!

October 22 – 28: Shop ’til you drop at Bath & Body Works and Yankee Candle for double points!

October 31: Happy Halloween! Double points. All day. All stores and restaurants.

Send us photos or samples of your in-school newsletters, bulletin board, atheletics program, etc. for an extra 1,000 points each!

Photo Op + Instagram Post!

From October 19 – 31, take a photo in front of Yorktown Center’s Halloween backdrop—located at the fountain in Center Court! Collect 50 points for every post that contains your school name and uses #YorktownHalloween on Instagram!

  • The School Bucks program is based on actual dollars spent by personal visits of family members, friends and supports of each participating school. This program is not a receipt drive.
  • Store employees may not be used to collect receipts for participating schools.
  • Receipts must be redeemed within 60 days of purchase date.
  • Receipts will be collected from August 1, 2017 until May 1, 2018.
  • Receipts dated prior to August 1, 2017 will not be accepted.
  • Receipts for returned merchandise will not be accepted.
  • Schools’ end-of-year receipt totals (excludes bonus points) must be at least $2,000 on May 1, 2018 to qualify for a monetary prize.
  • Schools in violation of program rules may be subject to removal from the School Bucks program.

Each month, there will be fun opportunities for bonus points, like taking holiday photos at Yorktown Center or making a purchase at a specified retail partner. We’ll keep  you in-the-loop with a monthly email – our website will also always have up-to-date information.

In-School

For every extra effort you take in promotion participation in School Bucks, your school will earn 1,000 points! Examples of in-school publicity include by are not limited to PTA/Booster Club/Principal’s newsletters, parent email newsletters, bulletin boards, student newspapers, back-to-school supply lists, athletics programs, website listing, etc. Samples, copies or photographs of in-school promotions can be dropped off at Yorktown Center’s Guest Services desk, Yorktown Center’s Mall Management office, emailed to mcasasanto@yorktowncenter.com or mailed to: Mall Management Office / ATTN: School Bucks / 203 Yorktown Center / Lombard, IL 60148

 

Social Media

Mention your school’s School Bucks participation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and your school will receive 1,000 points per post (limit of four posts per month). Yorktown Center will only accept posts from official school and PTA/PTO social media accounts. Email your social media post screenshots to mcasasanto@yorktowncenter.com.

One of last year’s winning schools is using its prize to build a new inclusive playground, providing accessible equipment to children of all abilities and developmental levels!
