Though Yorktown Center was not directly affected by the wildfires, the people of Maui need our kokua in this incredibly tragic time. Our hearts break for the thousands of people that have been displaced and became homeless overnight. Below is a list of what we are doing to help and how you too can participate.
CONTRIBUTE TO MAUI FIRE RELIEF FUND
Yorktown Center, with Pacific Retail Capital Partners and the portfolio's retail properties across the nation, have come together to raise much needed immediate funds.
Pacific Retail has launched a national fundraiser in partnership with DTL Foundation, a local 501(c)3 to establish the Maui Fire Relief Fund. 100% of proceeds* will go to support the struggling ohana or families of Maui. The funds will be used to purchase critical supplies and other necessities that are in short supply on the island and help those families begin the rebuilding process. Pacific Retail has agreed to match the first $10,000 raised. Information is available at https://dtlfoundation.org/mauifire.
*A 2.9% processing fee and $0.30 will be added to each donation.
AWARENESS
Aloha Fridays
Generate awareness by wearing an aloha shirt (floral print) each Friday. Post a vertical video or photo of yourself saying “Extending Aloha, from (insert location)” Tag @pacificretail + 5 additional organizations or peers, challenging them to Extend Aloha too!
